Nancy (Potts) Spencer Hable died January 29 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House, St. Cloud, Minnesota. She had valiantly battled reoccurring cancer for several years.

Nancy had been a San Francisco-based flight attendant for six years. She was an intelligent, energy-filled, positive, professional, friendly and strikingly beautiful member of the Hughes Airwest family. She also sincerely enjoyed whomever she was around: She always went out of her way to make not only her passengers feel special but also the flight crews, ground crews and other Hughes AirWest team members.

In the mid 1970s, Nancy left Hughes AirWest to become a full-time student at the University of California, Berkeley. There she earned a BS degree in business, a masters in business administration and was accepted and enrolled in Berkeley’s PhD program.

Working in the telecommunications field, Nancy accepted a job with AT&T in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She later worked for Qwest.The whole time she lived in Minnesota, she made Annandale, which is northwest of Minneapolis, her home. Her husband Tim Hable says, "Nancy gave much with no regard for payback, was a tireless worker, and a quiet leader to those around her. She became a vested part of the Annandale community as a trusted friend, gracious neighbor, willing volunteer, and a true lover of animals, large or small."

Nancy was born on April 15, 1947 in Sacramento, California. She was the daughter of Dorothy and Richard Potts. She is survived by her husband Tim; sister Victoria; stepsons Joshua Grigg, Michael and Benjamin Hable; stepdaughters, Raki Swanson and Erin Hable; and 4 grandchildren.
