Bob served in the US Marine Corps and was proud of his service.  I have some photos of his visit to DaNang and of us at China Beach. He'd reovered from a serious wound and was on light duty at the time when he visited.  Russ Kidd who went in with Bob (he also visited DaNang while recovering from his wounds) on the "Buddy System" was wounded about the same time when their Marine Corp Battallion was overrun by two NVA battallions.and was one of nine survivors.   Bob's uint was also overrun as I recall and pretty much decimated.  I rememered hearing Hanoi Hanna on the radio saying she'd recieved a request song for Russ Kidd's unit Bravo 1-9, "No Place to Run, No Place to Hide."   I dropped everything and ran to our hospital as I knew we'd be getting wounded coming in from the northern areas of South Vietnam.  I am so sorry to hear about Bob's passing.  I am especially sorry for his family and for his close friend Russ Kidd.   Rest in Peace Bob.  Cliff Grady
